The Process

Pre-Planning & Creative Alignment

We start with a planning conversation to understand your event goals, audience, and timeline. During this stage we discuss:

  • Whether any pre-illustrations need to be created and printed in advance

  • The look, style, and feel you want (branding, color palette, tone)

  • Key moments, themes, or messaging to capture during the event

This ensures everything is aligned before the event day.

Preparation & Setup

Based on our planning, I prepare all materials and artwork needed for the event, including:

  • Finalising any pre-printed illustration templates

  • Preparing tools, supplies, and digital or traditional setup

  • Coordinating logistics such as space requirements and timing

This step ensures a smooth, efficient setup on event day.

Live Event Illustration

During the event, I illustrate in real time, capturing:

  • Either live illustrating guests or key moments. Photo references can also be taken to work from

  • Depending on style, illustrations take between 7-15 minutes

  • Custom details added if agreed

Illustrations can be created as keepsakes for guests, branded content for your event, or live visuals that engage attendees.

Plan with Purpose

After the event, I provide:

  • Final physical or digital illustrations to guests or brand (as pre-agreed)

  • Optional to complete remaining illustrations in studio time

  • A polished collection that reflects your event experience

This final step ensures you can ensure all guests receive an illustration even after the event if you choose.
